Hi, I'm Christopher De Barros Barreto,
a Quality Assurance expert based out of Oceanside, CA currently polishing Patagonia's SFCC regional
eCommerce sites
Technology has always been a passion of mine, from a young age I would help my mother
configure things
such as the family computer, printer, network, security camera's and loved to game. I never found a
niche
within technology that I wanted to pursue until I moved to San Francisco for a few years and started
creating
bots for friends for shoe drops, concerts and camping permits.
This is when I found QA, at first it started with manual testing at an internship with Quiksilver, inc.
Slowly I came to realize that I could use selenium
to automate mundane testing I was doing. Not only did this help with improving my bandwidth with work I
could
complete, but it also helped me find my niche within technology. Test automation opened up many doors
for me
at companies such as Quiksilver, Nixon, prAna, GovX and Patagonia.
Now I mostly spend time with my family; Wife, son and dog. When I'm not with my family you can catch me
on the
golf course, hitting the slopes on the mountain or fixing up our home. Any homeowner knows, that this is
a never
ending task.
